The Sir Simon Milton Westminster UTC team, coached by Dennis G. Lucan, won £300 in seed investment from the University of Westminster. The students are learning how to start a venture part of the Young Enterprise programme and are receiving weekly mentoring and guidance sessions.
They are starting a clothing company, SuitsU, addressing the gap in the market for affortable business attire for UTC and College students. Aside from building a business plan, they learned how to pitch and how to maximise the use of their existing resources.
We wish them good luck and we are looking forward to working with them in the coming year.
